Why We Started

Every tour operator says they'll show you "the real Gambia". We're the ones who actually grew up in it. SenGambia Experience Tours was founded in 2021 by a small group of Gambians who'd spent years watching visitors get shuttled between hotel pools and souvenir stalls – never quite reaching the country we actually love. We started with one van, three excursions, and a simple rule: every tour has to be something we'd genuinely take our own family on. Since then we've grown to 20+ excursions and 527+ travellers, but the rule hasn't changed.

What We Stand For

🤝 Community First: Every tour supports local families, artisans, and village economies directly — not a foreign-owned booking platform taking a cut before a single Dalasi reaches the ground.

🦜 Wildlife Respect Strict "observe, don't disturb" ethics across every reserve and habitat we operate in. We don't feed wild animals to force a photo, and we won't take you anywhere that does.

🙏 Cultural Integrity: We ask permission before every village visit and every photograph. If a community says no, the answer is no — no exceptions, no negotiating.
